April 1904 - INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR MINE AWARENESS AGAINST

On April 4 the International Day for Mine Awareness Mines. The date has been promoted by the General Assembly of the United Nations to reject the indiscriminate use of these devices and create awareness about the growing threat posed to people.

The problem in our country is such that after Afghanistan, we are the largest number of new victims in the world in 2010 we had 512 victims of mines, from 1990 to February 2011 9,133 people have been victims of this scourge, of which 870 are children, 3,408 civilians and 5,725 military in far this year 71 people have been victims.

The aim of the campaign is to bring the issue of landmines to colleges, universities, offices, restaurants and public places, because we are all aware of the reality facing the country and make the topic a day occupy a leading role. The concept of the campaign is "For one day, let us be your shoe" and the action we expect is April 4 ALL to roll up!

The campaign will be disseminated through social networks in which all Colombians will be invited to actively participate in a symbolic act that is rolling up one leg pants to demonstrate and generate an impact of opinion.
The awareness day will continue throughout the day and hope that all Colombians, parents, children, siblings, friends roll up his trousers to show the world that hurts us Colombians, that the problem of landmines affects us all and we reject the indiscriminate use of these weapons by illegal armed groups.

hope to have all their support and cooperation to continue to generate awareness about an issue that affects us all.
